Why are there so many excuses/rationalizations for failed prayers. I doubt if God answers prayer?

Sounds like you are feeling very low! Firstly congratulations on all your fantastic grades this year, well done! Secondly... God will answer your prayers, just maybe not in the way expect.

He has a grander plan for you than you know, and maybe your prayers are a contradiction to what he wants for you. Try praying to Him about what HE wants you to do with all these wonderful qualifications He has blessed you with. Ask Him what your calling is.

Believe in Him, He has something wonderful planned for you, and you are so focused on gaining employment that you might be inadvertently blocking out His messages to you. Thirdly, one thing God IS doing, is making sure your financially sound through your family which you say is unusuall behaviour for them... think about it, they are obviously being inspired to do something out of character to see you secure...this is another wonderful gift from God! He has plans, but until they come to fruition He is making sure you are looked after.

Keep your faith in Him. You sound like a very blessed person, and I sincerely hope that very soon God will reveal his magnificent plan for you. As I said, hold strong to your faith in Him.. He will never let you down.

Not sure what kind of answer you are looking for, but there are many who believe you are deluded and have been talking to thin air. It sure feels like that sometimes, even for Christians. Christians have prayed for healing, for themselves or loved ones and watched them die, sometimes slowly and painfully.

Many, like you, have prayed for job, success, happiness, and, sometimes, seems in vain. In these times when TV evangelists and mega-churches tell you that God is some kind of spiritual Walmart who will deliver the "goods" if you just ask and follow some formula, it is hard not to be fooled by this scam. The scam is that Christianity is all about the "Good Life" - the American Dream, job, nice house, success, etc., in spite of what Jesus said - that it's about the Way of the Cross, of suffering and pain.

When the nation suffers (high unemployment, famine, etc.) Christians should not expect to be immune by some "act" of God. Some do fare better because they are surrounded by people who love them and help them, or are the beneficiaries of those who had the foresight to plan and act to provide employment for fellow-believers (e. G the Quakers who build businesses and communities).

For the individual Christian like you, the most important thing is to come to the place when you realise that your faith in God has to stand on it own - sans blessings. As Job said, "Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him."

Argue your case, by all means. Like a marriage, it is "for better or for worse". If you are looking for spin-offs or pay-offs, try paganism or magic.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
