Why believe in a god-creature that is so intentionally hateful, angry and murderous by his own design?

No, scientists (atheist or otherwise) have been telling the truth about evolution for over a century and far from being an end to atheism we see an increase in nonbelief. I highly doubt your supposed interaction is factual, and if it was then he was either lying to you (i.e. Not actually an atheist or not actually an evolutionary biologist) or he is an extreme minority that does a disservice to the scientific profession.

Your "argument" has a couple of big flaws. First would be that it's not a matter of evolution versus religion, not all people who accept evolution are atheists (and not all atheists accept evolution). The majority of world religions do in fact accept evolution, including the heads of various religious bodies (i.e.

The Vatican and various Popes have officially endorsed evolution and the Big Bang for decades). Second would be that somebody who has evidence to overturn a scientific theory like evolution would becomes incredibly famous and incredibly wealthy. They would get loads of funding, a Nobel prize, etc... So a "secretly greedy" scientist would make so much money if they presented factual evidence countering evolutionary theory, it would most definitely not ruin them financially.

Finally even if you were correct, if evolutionary theory were turned on its head and proven without a doubt to be false, it would not add one shred of evidence to your god claims. It's not a matter of "if evolution isn't true then the only possible explanation is god." No, if we do not know the answer the correct response is "I don't know," then you continue to study and explore in an attempt to find an answer rather than jumping to unsubstantiated conclusions.

So no, it would not mean an end to atheism because whether or not evolution is true (and as a Biologist myself I can attest that the supposed claim that none of us accept evolution is patently false) has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not any gods exist.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
