Why can we eat fish during lent if fish is meat?

Actually, YES! Economic Hardship Effective August 1, 2009 - Any resident who is saltwater fishing from land or a structure fixed to land who has been determined eligible for the food stamp, temporary cash assistance, or Medicaid Program by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Proof of identification and a benefit issuance or program identification card issued by DCFS or the Agency for Health Care Administration must be on your person when fishing.

And... Cane Pole Any resident fishing for recreational purposes only, within her or his county of residence with live or natural bait, using poles or lines not equipped with a fishing line retrieval mechanism, except on a legally established fish management area. Effective August 1, 2009 - this exemption will apply in salt and freshwater. This sounds totally bogus to me... taxpayers paying for one's recreation.

When will that get someone into the movies without paying? Or maybe free rentals at blockbuster? L guess it's just jealousy on my part.

We have no such thing in california. Since food stamps are a federal program, it should apply in ALL states.

EDIT: Thanks to enuf for straightening it out. Thumbs.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
