Being gay is not the problem. Being a bigot is the problem.
Sin is sin is sin. Grace is grace is grace. We shouldn't be afraid of embracing any human being, it is the sidestepping of the sin issue that is the problem.
Homosexuals can be saved just as every other sinner can (praise God, that's the only way I'm making it in, as if we break one bit of the law, we are guilty of breaking it ALL, no one is above anyone else). Sexual sin is the same as others, and every sin that is sin (anything that is not of faith) should be included; anger without cause, lying no matter how small, gossip, gluttony, haughty looks, etc... a balanced and loving approach is normally the "right" one, with emphasis on faith and grace not works... if not, people can wind up like the crazies masquerading as Christians that promote hatred and disrespect with their cardboard signs (*cough*Westboro*cough*), causing anguish and anger in others. To add to that...Love and acceptance, love and acceptance... its been drilled into us since we were born.
So much so, that the world cant tell the two of them apart anymore. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to accept what they do. Love is what we are commanded to do.
If we accept them, we will accept them into the pit of Hell. Because if we accept them, why should they change? What reason is there for The Gospel?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
