There was at least a week's warning that Katrina was going to hit. Bush could have made sure that resources were prepositioned. There was no such fore-knowledge about the explosion.
That's not a fair comparison. FEMA is designed to handle disasters like hurricanes, and there was sufficient advanced warning. Bush deserves some blame for Katrina (though not nearly as much as NO/LA authorities) mostly because he appointed an unqualified friend to head FEMA, and he angered people because he seemed relatively indifferent to the massive loss of life.
As far as the oil spill, there has been no loss of life and the US doesn't have a magical drill plugging submarine. All Obama can do is ***** at BP and tighten future regulations.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
