Why did god give us immune systems if diseases are punishment for us?

You wouldn't servive a day without your immune system .. its a mercy from god.

Punishment is done from generations of unforgiveness. Disease is a natural thing. I am sorry that you have cancer.

Note that suffering is in everyones life. You have a testimony and you need to show people that it will be ok :).

No no no...Our punishment is because of "sin" and with that, we all perish and die He still wants us to combat viruses and bacteria. Thank you innate and acquired immunity!

Man did the Christians ever corner themselves here! So, he didn't make diseases, and the diseases weren't caused by the fall. Where did they come from then, if they didn't come from the creator of all things?

Why are there diseases if they're not punishments? Was God just twisted and he decided to create organisms that can horribly disfigure people or kill them slowly and painfully?

The same reason we have Natural Selection in entropy. It's a default backup-system to preserve life for a time. Otherwise, we'd die off too soon to ever come to any understanding of God & the whole world would be pointless. It's counter-productive in the same sense that God decreed Satan to work against him.

Ultimately, this paradox is the only way for God's attributes to be put on display & for the elect to come to that understanding & fellowship with God by choice. Without the knowledge of good & evil, we'd be robots ignorant of God's mercy, grace, forgiveness, wrath, sovereignty... bc there's nothing to contrast."why not just make the diseases that don't kill us" because the wages of sin is death(separation from God) not suffering with diseases forever. I guess that's why God is God & you are not.

It's quite simple when you think about it."use you brain plz...they very little ones you have" I'll tell you a secret I learned as a kid: marijuana only gives you the *ILLUSION* of wisdom, but it's not real. It gives you a superiority complex but the ones who are the most proud & smugly confident in their own self-righteousness are usually the biggest morons there are but are too blinded by pride & too stupid to understand just how perfectly stupid they are. Trust me: "let he who THINKS he stands take heed lest he fall" -Paul the Apostle.

And Jesus said "those who exalt themselves will be humbled. Those who humble themselves will be exalted. " see that's just how the paradoxical system plays out.

Real objective truth is found through a pure motive, not an arrogant, mocking attempt to falsify something that's infinitely beyond your puny human understanding. Don't believe me? Read what James wrote in chapter 3: "Who is a wise man and endued with science among you?

Let him shew out of a good debate his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This *wisdom* descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

For where envying and strife is, there is mental chaos and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ".

Lol, I hope nobody really believes we were "given" an immune system. Almost every multi cellular species has one, and as far as I know, only one species can supposedly sin.

I have a droopy tea bag with your name on it.

The Bible tells us that all corruption (including disease) is a result, effect or consequence of sin, rather then a direct punishment of sin.

Neither diseases are punishment for us nor immunity is blessing for us. This is a natural process....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
