Meredith writes: " We are in a different place now." Really? Seems like the same old united states to me.
Only with a larger debt and deficit. Frank writes: " Things change in seven years, and our economic situation is very different." Yes, our economic situation is very different.
Higher unemployment, higher taxes, higher debt and deficit. A reduced credit rating. Which makes it all the more insane to raise the debt ceiling.
Gotta love the hypocritical liberals here, who instead of admitting their messiah is a liar and a hypocrite, rise to his defense insisting that 6-7 years later "its a different time now". As if that was some sort of valid defense. If it was wrong to raise the debt ceiling back then, its just as wrong now, especially due to the fact that the debt is much larger now.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
