Why didn't Muslim nations come together and form a caliphate if they wanted one? Would that have prevented ISIS from forming?

It is a cult with an agenda, and a leadership with a very specific (Salafist) interpretation of the Koran who think that we have reached the "end of days" - same quote you hear from some Christian fantasists. They expect that a final battle (between Islam (=ISIS) and Rome (=the West)) at a place called Dabiq, close to Aleppo in Syria. ISIS will win, then the world will end.

Apparently Mahomet prophesied this. If anyone in the West does get involved, steering clear of Dabiq would make a lot of sense!

Because they're crazy! They've invented their own beliefs and justifications for brutally murdering people, which they're happy with because they're psychopaths and take pleasure in it. That, together with having nothing else to do out there in that miserable desert is a dangerous combination.

They're trying to force the coming of their God because it's just another one of their false beliefs.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
