Why didn't Zenyatta run in the Kentucky Derby?

Interesting list Queen K..Look forward to see Purple Egg race. Agree with Shanghai Bobby and Violence both on my watch list along with Overanalyze and #1 on leader board Goldencents both are impressive winners of more than one race and are the rightful early favorites for the Derby. Some alternatives to my favorites are Normandy Invasion and Frac Daddy, both have impressive second place finishes in graded stakes races.

Others with impressive maiden wins, but have no Road to the Derby points. New system is somewhat shaky or should I say shady, not sure if we'll have any filly's in the making with the new system. No qualifying races are shorter than 1 mile.

Also, fillies must qualify in the same races as males if they are pointing for the Kentucky Derby. There is a separate point system for the Kentucky Oaks. Graded earnings will be used as a tiebreaker.

Races restricted to fillies will not count toward Kentucky Derby points, and only three foreign races will count. A similar system is also in place for the Kentucky Oaks, but fillies who want in the Derby will have to compete in with the colts for Derby points. While those Derby points earned by fillies will also count toward the Oaks, Oaks points will not count towards the Derby.

It's so early in the game, even with the ridiculous system instituted to draw into the field. Take a keen look at impressive graduates from late-season, January MSW's for a few who will slam onto the scene with a bullet. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
