Why do 3 separate polls show Americans support the Republicans position to not raise the debt ceiling?

Because the ones in Congress will do anything to try and make the President look bad. The debt ceiling has been raised over 50 times in this country, and this is the first time I've every heard of it. And do you know why?

Because no other president had to deal with this kind of nonsense when it came to raising the debt limit. Furthermore, the debt limit is not so President Obama can spend. It's so that the United States can borrow the money that was already spent.

Because they claim that paying higher taxes is unfair. What they seem to be incapable of understanding is if the debt ceiling crashes they'll be paying higher interest rates. We all will be paying more.

Your mortgage will be double it was before. Insurance will double. Everything will be extremely expensive.

It will come in waves and you will suffer greatly. Hey we all saw Obama begging the republicans to get to the table did we not? While they were insisting he was using the debt ceiling as a fear tactic.

Obama was screaming for weeks pleading for them to get serious while they insulted him behind his back and dragged their feet. Now their saying, "Obama didn't leave us enough time. He's leading from behind."

They are playing games and may have just killed us all. You should have never voted the republicans in in the first place six months ago.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
