Why do American LIBERAL Democrats blame America for all the world's problems?

Because then they don't get accused of the same thing. It's a well known tactic to accuse your opponent of the very thing you are guilty of, because even if your opponent honestly says YOU are the guilty one, it just sounds weak and evasive. Conservatives seem to favor a throw everything and see what sticks approach to accusations.

The problem is, this is done simply to distract the public from their abysmal record in public office, almost across the board. There is a disconnected hypocracy working there, the depth of which seems to be bottomless. So many things make sane adults with well-developed critical thinking skills scratch their heads over what Republicans try to get away with.

I was once a Republican myself, but simply could no longer excuse the hypocracy I saw then and continue to see today. For example: Bush was the first American (who wasn't a VP or Speaker of the House) to occupy the Oval Office without being duly elected to that spot. Even though a clear legal victor was demonstrated (and it wasn't GWB) actual votes were ignored, hundreds of thousands of voters were disenfranchised (that means their vote was thrown away and not counted) and Democracy was subverted and strangled and the coup de tat was then legitimized by the Supreme Court.

The Right said nothing, demonstrating EXACTLY how much love they have for the US Constitution, you know that "godd**ned piece of paper", according to GWB Bush ignored warnings all during the months before 9/11, preferring to go on vacation after exhausting himself NOT being elected as President. Yet the Right would have you believe he was doing all he could to fight terrorism, with things like Color-Coded "Threat" Boards and news stories of Muslims flying explosives-packed radio control airplanes at schoolbuses. And Osama bin Laden was allowed to do whatever he wanted, allowed to release tapes to encourage his followers and to help recruit new followers, allowed to brag about how he murdered over 3,000 US citizens and got away with it, all while George HW Bush was working for the bin Ladens (for the Carlysle Group) for a full six months AFTER 9/11.

He never caught bin Laden, never got rid of the Taliban in Afghanistan, DID manage to get rid of Saddam Hussein, the ONE leader of a Middle Eastern country who was democratically elected, had never attacked the US (except verbally, in speeches) had forbid Al Qaeda and bin Laden from operating within his borders and who had no nuclear weapons, and guess what? As soon as Hussein was out of power, in comes thousands of Al Qaeda into Iraq, ready to set up shop and recruit recruit recruit. It was Bush was in BUSINESS with them or something, they did everything they could to make sure the enemy was in great shape and only getting stronger.

Support the Troops! How oftern did we hear that? If we were against the invasion of Iraq, then we weren't supporting the troops, somehow.

I figured we WERE supporting them, by only sending them off to die, when the stakes were higher than oil wells. But apparently, to Republicans (who WON'T join the military, even BUsh couldn't finish his term without going AWOL) "Supporting the Troops" means sending them wherever Exxon and Mobile need them the most, to fight and die for crummy pay, the WORST working conditions and diminishing benefits back home. "Support the Troops" menat sending them into battle without adequate body armor, and food and water, tainted with fecal matter.

On top of that, Bush cutting VA funding by 2 Billion every year he was in office. Wow. Now THAT'S Support!

How many more examples do you need? The ones screaming the worst about Gay Marriage being a sign of the Devil or something are the same ones getting caught renting homosexual prostitutes. They say the media is all Left Wing, but they absolutely HATE The Fairness Doctrine, which would give equal TV and Radio- station time to BOTH sides.

They hate Welfare, but they love giving Big Oil subsidies. They hate government intrusion, but Uterus intrusion is just fine.

I think most liberals don't hate America, but some do, like the ones who disrespect the troops. Or ones like Rev Wright who say God damn America. I do think that the liberal viewpoint is very close to Socialism, and I think some of the hard left in the Democratic party are indeed quite Socialist, while some are not.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
