As the Old Testament developed into the New Testament, Christianity adopted circumcision from the Old tracing back to Abraham and Islam tracing Prophet Muhammad through Adna to Ishmael also adopted circumcision; thus, Christians and Moslems meet circumcision in Abraham. Jews and Muslims circumcise their boys Christians do not. The Jews that circumcise their children do so in answer to a tradition that goes back in their religion to the time of moses there is in fact no compunction to circumcise in the Islamic religion and this is merely a cultural phenomenon that was encouraged by ancient religious scholars.
Christians have been instructed by Paul that circumcision is not required and that the act of accepting Christ as your savior is all that is required. And Christendom has nowhere adopted circumcision into its religion anywhere for religious reasons. This is referred to as circumcision of the heart.
