It will be their own fault. It was said by people like Bill Maher and others that "why would you vote for a make-believe Republican when you can vote for an actual Republican?" Once Obama was sworn in, he suddenly became Bush-lite, and did things that Bush would have done had he been able to serve a third term.
It's the Democratic Party's fault for not calling him on the carpet for doing this. 2 years of their silence, and the only Democrats who will get re-elected on Tuesday will be those who have been willing to speak up and defend their own actions in the face of such hypocrisy.
It will be the fault of too many Americans not admitting that no single President or Party can fix chronic problems rooted in human overpopulation, greed and avarice. Unfortunately, in a land of dummies (e.g. the Tea Party) who think everything is supposed to make them feel good, Presidents can't get elected by taking tough stands on long-term problems. They are forced to use triumphant rhetoric to babysit the egos of their small-minded constituents.
For example, the whole idea that the economy "must grow" forever is bogus when you understand that the Earth is a finite place. Americans need to get over the self-righteous expectation of endless material wealth, and live within their means. It's not just monetary debt, it's ecological debt and resource depletion that keeps getting passed off as GDP.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
