You are buying into a lie. The debt ceiling is not how we pay our bills. It is new debt.
We had a debt limit, the democrats refused to pass a budget. Obama dramatically increased government spending, knowing that the debt ceiling was approaching. He knew that congress had set a limit on how much debt he could accrue.
He ignored such limits. He has brought us to this point 6 years earlier than it would have happened under Bush spending levels. Obama is charging $4.1 billion on America's credit card every day.
That is not how we pay our bills, that is a new bill. Credit is a loan. It must be repaid.
Expanding the credit limit, just means higher interest payments and more bills we have to pay down the road. If you had $14,000 of credit card debt that you couldn't pay, would you think that a $3,000 credit extension would solve your problem? Would you dramatically increase your spending to try to force your bank to lend you more money?
Or would you try to cut expenses, get your budget in line and pay down your debt? The debt limit is not how we pay for things. It is how we put off paying for things.
The democrat Congress gave Obama and themselves a blank check the last three years by not passing a budget!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
