Why do Libs say Obama can use the 14th Amendment to bypass a GOP House Majority to raise the debt ceiling?

It doesn't. Let's default and watch bond prices go up. Because rising bond prices surely won't make the fiscal deficit explode... right guys?

You really should READ the US Constitution some time...they MAKE us immigrants read it, and I think it would do many of you "natural-born" Americans a HUGE amount of good if you read it to! Under the US Constitution, here are the powers granted to the President; + Serve as commander in chief of all U.S. armed forces + Commission officers of the armed forces + Grant pardons and reprieves from Federal offenses (except impeachments) + Convene special sessions of Congress + Receive foreign ambassadors + Take care that Federal laws are faithfully executed + Wield the "executive power" + Appoint officials to lesser offices These are the Powers of the President Shared With the Senate + Make treaties + Appoint ambassadors, judges, and higher officials And the Powers of the President Shared With Congress as a Whole + Approve legislation Since the Debt Ceiling was enacted in 1917, it has been legislated based on these guidelines....if YOU think we should change them now to suit YOU, then just stand up & say so! I'm sure America will suspend it's history of Democratic Republican governance to keep you happy!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
