Why do many Americans refer to Spaniards & Italians as "less" White than northern europeans?

Traditionally, Italian cuisine in North America was based on Southern Italian (Neapolitan or Sicilian, mostly) recipes, modified by immigrants to take advantage of the bounty of relatively cheap meat & dairy products in North America. Traditional Southern Italian cuisine is far less meat based and definitely not smothered in nearly as much cheese as you find in the US and Canada. Over the last 30 years or so, however, Northern Italian cuisine has become quite popular in North America, most likely influenced by TV cooking shows, and is seen by some as "higher-class".

I would say primarily based on Southern Italian food, apart from lasagna and tortellini which are Emilian (North-Central Italy).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
