Salam No we are not allowed for torturing the animals created by Allah in a very weird way We must slaughter the animal on its throat with a very sharp knife by saying bismillah so the animal will quickly die.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
