The Muslims or some of them living in New York City do not want to build a mosque at Ground Zero; they want to do it near that site. Furthermore, Muslims show religious tolerance to the Christians living in the United States and their interest to build a community center and a place for prayer in that location shows just that. The controversy about the issue was highly artificial and the attacks on those supporting the building of the center were virulent for the same reason. In fact Michael Bloomberg, the Jewish mayor of New York City is a strong advocate in favor of the construction project and he has been the target of critics for saying it publicly.

The planned mosque to be built in lower Manhattan is two blocks away from the location of world trade centre. Firstly, a mosque is a place for Muslims to worship. If they build a mosque at Ground Zero, it’s now like they are erecting some flags showing that they’ve been victors and won the war.
The reason being after 9/11 America waged war on Afghanistan and the whole world knows how much Afghanistan was destroyed by this and clearly America won it. Later America attacked over Iraq and won it again. So the question is that is bombing entire two Muslim countries and killing thousands of people there and hanging the president of Iraq the victory or ‘building a mosque two blocks away from the site just for worship’ the victory?
Secondly US president Barrack Obama said that it’s their right to pray as they have equal status as other US citizens. So Muslims should be free to say there prayer. And the mosque is just a part of the whole park.
The rest of it is planned to be open for general public. Thirdly, by this gesture it is expected that the strained environment between Muslims and non-muslims will become better.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
