Why do mustangs look different than an American quarter horse?

Because unless the wild herd is monitered very closely the wild horses are usually mixed breeds, and although the may be part quarter horse they are probablly not completely purebred if they live in the wild Also if they are a wild purebred quarter horse it may look different because it may be dirty or cut up.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
