Why do parent hit kids and say it discipline?

Yes they did. I hated it so much I promised I would never do that to my children if I had any. We never hit my daughter.....and she's a great woman, mother, and wife.

Yes, my brothers and I got a whack on the bum with the wooden spoon or Mums hand from time to time...if we deserved it and sometimes we really did! All in all it taught us respect and dicipline, as we grew older we learnt to heed the first warning we were given and behave ourselves,we would rather behave for Mum than cop it when Dad got home.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
