Most Christians are not ignorant at all. Maybe these people whom you call Christians are not Christians at all but just religious people who have still not met the Saviour, Jesus Christ. If they were truly Christians wouldn't you expect them to be searching the scriptures for the answer to all they desire to know?
When we are first saved it is the most natural thing in the world to want to read God's Word, pray for guidance and tell others about God's love to us in sending His Son to save us. If the people you know are very ignorant of God's Word I think it might be a good thing if you suggested that they start attending bible study classes. If they ARE Christians they should appreciate the suggestion and if they did attend (but were not already Christians) they will learn a lot and will probably meet their Saviour whilst there.
The enthusiasm of others present would have a big impact on them.
Because Satan has blinded there minds: (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. The Bible speaks of the nations as being “in darkness mentally, and alienated from the life that belongs to God, because of the ignorance that is in them.” (Ephesians 4:18) For many, spiritual vision is obstructed because they are unteachable and rigid in their views. Many Jews rejected Jesus and his teachings because they doggedly clung to the Mosaic Law.
The same is true of many in Christendom today. Like the first-century Jews, “they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge.” (Romans 10:2) Though some study the Bible, they do not want to believe what it says. They refuse to accept that Jehovah teaches his people through his faithful and discreet slave class of anointed Christians.
(Matthew 24:45) We, though, understand that Jehovah is teaching his people and that the understanding of divine truth has always been progressive. (Proverbs 4:18) By allowing ourselves to be taught by Jehovah, we are blessed with the knowledge of his will and purpose.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
