I agree. Any republican without tunnel vision could see that the extremists running for office will do no one (outside of the far right fringe) any favors.

Sane people should vote for sane candidates. Unfortunately for the US, the bulk of the current Republican Party and it's voters are simply not close to being sane. No sane politician would support lowering taxes for the rich in times of huge deficits.

The sad truth is that, beyond the loony Repubs running for their party's top nomination, there are many more in Congress and the Senate who are just as out and out wingnuttery. Michelle Bachmann .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
