Small business owners employ most people in the USA. Obama says if you make $250k then you are rich, which would put the bill on the small business owners, and is complete nonsense. Also, Obama has already pumped $1trillion in stimulus money into the economy, and all it did was go to the over paid public union workers.
Have you ever tried to get into a union? Good luck, you have to know somebody to get in, or be put on a 2 year waiting list. Also, we do not have the money right now to add more government workers.
If the money was going to help business I could see some compromise, but all it is doing is making government bigger. Government employees are way over paid, and don't really do anything. Have you ever drove by a public construction site and see 5 people standing around watching one guy work?
I think it is part of the job tittle or something because they all do it. Lastly, you should know that all this is a stunt for his reelection campaign. If it wasn't, why didn't Obama introduce this bill when he had a democratic majority in both the house and senate?
He holds off until the republicans have the majority? That doesn't;t sound like he is all that serious about creating jobs to me. You have to look at the whole picture.
If you do your own research instead of letting the media make your mind up for you, you would know that the repubs have proposed 12...yes twelve jobs bills that are being stalled, and ignored by the media. Why? Well like I said, Obama's campaign is blaming the other guy instead of taking responsibility like a leader of the free world should do.
He definitely doesn't want the people to know that his rivals have proposed 12 jobs bills....that would ruin his campaign. One more thing: $700billion bank bailout, $1trillion on stimulus spending, $500mill down the drain with Soylendria, Speculated $38billion one the verge of being down the tubes on nuclear power...and the list continues. Can we really afford to pump money into the economy to no avail?
I for once take sides with the repubs<=====From an independent (with a lowercase i).
You have to read the entire bill, including the "riders" attached to that bill. And how are those projects going to be determined and awarded? By appointing them and not allowing for open bidding for the jobs.
This is how it is going to hurt small business owners - no opportunity to bid on government jobs, unless you are a minority business owner.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
