Why do Republicans love the fetus but hate the child?

Wow - the level of ignorance and hate in the answers thus far is just astounding. You have to wonder about people who leave their antiabortion rallies to go picket government services to help the poor. And you have to REALLY wonder about people who suggest women just keep their legs closed to prevent pregnancy.

Obviously, the men have no responsibility to keep their pants zipped. You asked this question at the wrong time of the day - most democrats are at work right now. The Cons are sitting home waiting for the government money to be replenished in their little bank accounts.

FACT: Republicans at large are against programs that would eliminate the need for abortion. Programs like sex ed in school, low cost or free birth control, job training, subsidized daycare. FACT: Most women who are on government assistance are there because the father of the child(ren) do not support them.

FACT: Abortion will be legal in this country forever. If you want to stop abortion (and everyone does, believe it or not) then work with your representatives to lower the incidence of unplanned pregnancy, and provide assistance to people so they have another option between abortion and raising a child in poverty.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
