Why do so many atheists think that everyone cares that they're atheists?

I'm not an Atheist.. I believe in a higher being, I just don't go aroudn telling people my religious beliefs. That doesn't make me an Atheist! My brother once called me an Atheist.. because I'm super practical and he thinks I lack empathy.

He asked me why I don't pray or participate in religious events.. and I answered, for what, if God is in everything, why do we need to go to a specific place to worship Him? And he said I was Atheist.

Especially since there's so many Atheists here where I live / It's more the people who follow a religion who get considered special (because they're a lot fewer).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
