Similar questions: Play Doh people bother make colors.
To cost the parents more $$ so they can make more $$$ the main reason is because they will sell more products and make more money and can then afford those multi million dollar estates and yachts and such. Kids love colors and its good for them also, but they need to make it someway so the colors can be seperated out so that at the end of the day each color cna be easily sorted out and put int he proper container. And playdoh is something kids of all ages like.
Its almost as good as legos. My 12 yr old will sometimes still play with it with his younger brothers. My 5 yr old loves it and has learned that he cant take it and play with it in the wrong places as when I say if its in the carpet I will toss the container, that I mean it and then no playdoh for a few weeks.(he thinks I throw it away, but after he sees me toss it out, I get it back and set it aside, as its too expensive to rebuy it all the time!) I have tried the home made stuff and it works ok.
But just does not hold up as well. One thing I do is we will make cookie dough and then after they wash their hands, again and again, I let them play with some of it to make fancy or wierd shaped cookies. So its like Playdoh, but instead it is really edible and it tastes good and even if there are still some germs on the fingers after the several washes, after tis baked, its safe no matter what. And they love to do this and are always createive and look forward to the treat they get after dinner.
And it also helps them all learn to cook and be part of the family and be in the kitchen interacting with me when I'm cooking. To get more $$ out of us parents Colors are good for kids in general. But for playdoh and such they need to find a way so that they don't all bleed together. My son likes playdoh and he is 9.
But he is pretty good about not mixing it too much, so he still has atleast 2/3 of each color. Now when I have gotten him more I normally will buy either blue or red and that's it. Besides its his 2 favs, its easier that way.
I tell him he can always pretend its a different color... that's my 2 cents worth Sources: a new daddy to a 9 yr old boy .
It only ends up gray if you let them mix the colors... For the sake of preserving our multi-color sets growing up, we weren't allowed to mash colors together - we usually had an excess of red for mashing lots together, and then we could use blue, yellow, etc. As "toppings" on a pizza, a "hat" for our Play-Doh man, or petals on our flowers. But we knew smooshing two colors together ruins the color forever. Your kids might notice if you just start buying only blue, and they probably won't mind terribly much if all they like to do is moosh the clumps together.
But when/if they get to an age where they like to sculpt things and make more colorful designs, just remind them not to mix colors! It might end up being a good way of teaching them care for their toys/posessions - kind of a beginner's lesson on how some things require care to keep them in tact. :) Sources: PenguinSage PenguinSage's Recommendations Play-Doh Fun Factory Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) Play-Doh Doctor Drill 'n Fill The Fun Factory used to be my favorite!

1 I don't buy it anymore at ALL. It all ends up stuck in my carpet. I have that looped pile of carpet and it's impossible to get out .

2 Once your kids are over 5 you don't have to worry about it anymore. They say because colors are appealing to kids, therefore, you buy every color, and the more they make the more you buy and the more money they make, and the less you have...WHEW,,,that was a run on sentence .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
