I'm a vegetarian and I LOVE meat! I have some health issues, did some research, and then determined that one of the best courses of action I could take to stay healthy was to stop eating meat. If anyone condemns you, it's probably because deep down they miss a really good burger and a beer, and they're jealous of your carnivorous indulgences!

I know I am!

They look at meat, chix, as animals that should not be killed at all. Furthermore they feel that there are soo many bad things in meat that they will affect you in some bad way. I actually got into an argument at a health food store when I kidded a worker there about chix - she stood her ground and chastized me for eating chix - I turned her in and a week later she was gone - as the manager felt that people should have the say of what they eat.

I myself love veggies and salads but also love chix, fish, and some meat and dairy. They had this thing on tv some months ago asking regular folks to eat only veggies for a month and for vegitarians to eat their food plus they had to eat chix and meat and fish at least once a week for a month - some of the vegitarians had to admit that eating a little meat did give them more energy and felt a little better. I wonder why?

I have met a couple of vegetarians and their problem with eating meat has to do with the fact that an animal had to die. These people are real pet lovers and they seem to look at all animals as potential pets. They see meat eaters as being cruel.

I don't think this is everyone's reason, it is just one I witnessed.

I do not eat meat. I love animals and I feel very sad when they are sacrificed for any reason. However, I do not condemn people who eat meat.

I wish we all would learn to appreciate all the creatures in the universe and that the people who eat meat would ask for the animal's permission and forgiveness before murdering them. But how can that be possible? Hunting to survive is centuries old, these days almost everything we eat (animals, plants, fruit, grains) is pre-murdered, pre-picked, and pre-served in a sea of chemicals.

Are the people who eat meat really eating meat, or a mix of preserving chemicals? The same question fits my eating style, are the vegetables and fruits I eat "natural"?

Condemn?...well most of people whom I know are vegetarians while I am non vegetarian..i didn't meet anyone who condemned it..they themselves might not like the idea but they didn't condemn my eating habits either...

I think that is horrible that some vegetarians condemn people who eat meat. I think these people fail to see that meet is a gift and two part of our culture. I have been on and off vegetarian but for health reasons and environmental concern. It is up to us if we decided to eat meat or not but condemning others for any reason is usually a form of insecurity.

I'm vegetarian and it really doesn't bother me one way or the other what people choose to eat.

I personally don't feel that vegetarians and vegan condemn or judge people how eat meat. We usually receive questions about our lifestyles, and sometimes, based on our answers, meat eaters sometimes become defensive. What experiences have you had with vegetarians and vegans to pose this question?

Honestly I really do not see it that way. I've just recently chosen to become a vegetarian, and living in Texas I very often see people who choose that lifestyle being outright attacked by people who eat meat. I think it is often based in misunderstanding, and ignorance on both sides.

A vegetarian wants others to understand, and often has to justify why they are different. A omnivore by habit does not understand ignoring a whole part of their food life, for any reason.

Vegetarianism, veganism is a RELIGION. Vegetarians and vegans have their holy books and beliefs. Like wacko Christians and Muslims, the WORD must be brought to everyone, and those refusing to accept the WORD are to killed (or at least be consigned to hell when they die).

I myself am a member of PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
