Tried a ZILLION...This is the only one that all 3 Dogs love! Okay so first I had an adopted Jack Russel and he comes with eating issues. As we’re his third and final home, I knew I’d have to really work on said issue and get him healthy and strong for the last 1/2 of his life.

He was used to eating Pedigree, Purina and all sorts of junkie store brands. I had to ween him off of Kibbles N’ Bits (all he’d eat when we integrated him into our home, by feeding him chicken breasts. I supplement with vitamins and the vet was fine with this.

Mikey (the Jack) also has EXTREME allergies. So I had to speed up the process and the vet kept sending me home with bag after bag of dog food to try. Mikey wanted nothing to do with any of ’em In the interim, my other dog passed of a kidney disorder.

I wanted a pup, and wound up getting two. They came home at 6wks old with Eagle puppy (great brand BTW, I highly recommend it! ).

Well of course Mikey was having none of his food. I couldn’t feed him people food in front of the pups or they’d learn bad habits, so he wound up eating their food a lot of the time. I gave up trying to stop him after about 3mos.

I figured "Why fight it? "...especially since I’d have to ween the pups onto adult food at a year anyway. I was buying the puppy food at a local pet store & they had free samples of Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul.

I took home the samples fully expecting my dogs to turn up their noses. Well, as you can guess, they did exactly the opposite. To this day all 3 are happily eating this brand.

Due to the recent recalls...I became nervous about what we’ve been feeding our cats.

They weren’t originally thrilled by Chix Soup, but are transitioning onto it now & all seem happy! Sources: Animal Lover, Supporter & Friend! Spatzie~Lover's Recommendations Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul Adult Dog Formula (35-lb.

I picked my last dog food based on vet recommendation I don't have a dog at the moment, just cats. But my vet recommended that I feed my last dog Nutro because it contained no by-products and was considered one of the better "natural" foods on the market. My cats had been getting Nutro, too, based on vet recommendation.

And it helped though both dogs and cats loved the food.Unfortunately... thanks to the pet food contamination scare my cats have been switched to something else and I haven't inquired about dog food. But yes, vet recommendation was my reason. Sources: My experience .

I feed... Beneful Healthy Harvest. I have fed my dogs premium dog foods, including vegetarian, and they are just as healthy and active, their coats just as shiny and their teeth just as healthy, with the Beneful. I do NOT feed canned food - I didn't before the recalls, and I certainly don't now.

I do buy Old Mother Hubbard bones for dog treats, when I don't make my own (they're available at Petsmart in a variety of flavors made with quality ingredients).

2 I feed my dogs Natural Life dry food. It is not available at most places-difinitely not grocery stores or Petsmart. If you go on their website you will probably find a place near you.

I worked for a dog breeder and she made me change my whole view of dog feeding. I now use Lamaderm for my dogs (used to use Eucanaba) and she uses it for all her pedigreed show dogs and even all of her kennel dogs. If someone brings in their own food to leave with their dog, and it is not of good quality, she will feed them her Natural Life or Wellness.

There is never a problem with giving these foods to the dogs without first mixing it with their regular food, as there is nothing to cause a problem in the food! There are no by-products (which includes dead animals and eyeballs, etc! ), there is no corn or wheat, no gluten and only brown rice. The first ingredient is lamb meal.

We had no reason to worry about the dog food scare as there is no gluten in the food. My 2 dogs have beautiful coats and never get sick. They have been on this for 5 years.

We had another dog that the lady next door "adopted", as Mandy was not too thrilled with the other dogs and the woman is fairly old and gives her more attention than we were able to. She travels a lot and Mandy stays with us. However, Mandy has doubled her weight - went from 47 pounds to 93 pounds!

She will not feed her the food I got for her, nor the Mother Hubbard biscuits and she has very bad arthritis now. I have talked to her until I am blue in the face and she goes right back to feeding Kibbles and Bits or Beneful. She has developed bald spots on her forearms, urinary tract infection, incontinence for which she needs medicine for the rest of her life.

I have threatened to take her back many times. She has only had her for 2 years and she is 9 years old, but seems like about 14. For canned food my dogs get a tablespoon of Triumph mixed in (which also has no by-products) and some unsalted stringbeans If there is any weight problem at all, they can have all the stringbeans they want.

Also pumpkin is very good. Carrots are good but not cooked, if they will eat them. Soup bones need to be raw and not cooked so they will not splinter!

They can actually have whole raw chicken wings- never cooked! I am not an authority by any means, but have learned a lot first hand.It seems most vets recommend which is also junk - so is Iams. Eucanuba is a little better than Iams, but not much.

They all contain by-products. Hope this is helpful to you. I can compare my dogs with the diets they are given ,and there is such a difference.

Mine have no skin problems and shiny coats, while my other poor dog has all kinds of skin problems and her hair is not at all like it was.

My dog eats table food and this is the second time he will be operated on.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
