Dramatically Reduce Your Binge Urges in 8 weeks. Discover how scientific research unlocked the key to lifelong recovery from bulimia (and it's a lot simpler than you thought). Get it now!

Not at all. They will not reject you. It's a known fact that the weight of a bulimic can actually have very little to do with Bulimia, because although Bulimia can be a symptom of weight control it is also (often more so) about Control in general.

Within the cycle of gorging on lots of food and then purging a persons weight doesn't always change dramatically. I'm not saying whether yours has or not, just that it Doesn't Matter what weight you are. You will not be judged.

Also, I highly doubt if - in reality - you are actually over weight, you'll be screaming at your computer screen now that you ARREE (lol) but that is part of the condition, body dis-morphia. You think you're 10 times worse than you are. Just from what you've said in that small paragraph it's obvious this is something that is seriously getting you down and affecting your life so it's a brilliant step you're taking to someone.

I know Anorexia and Bulimia are all about secrecy but I think you'd be surprised by how obvious some things are. Explain what you're nervous about to the doctor, if you want help with something and you think they won't offer it, Ask for it. Just try to be honest and open, you'll probably be surprised by how much you'll get off your chest, and how much a relief it will be to be supported.

Best best best of luck. X.

Mental health specialists are all about acceptance and understanding. You are worrying for nothing. Are you seeing a psychologist or other counselor with expertise in treating eating disorders and depression?

Make sure to ask the person about his/her experience and expertise. It is okay to ask that and other questions about what to expect. You are taking a really good step for yourself.

Really. Your work with your therapist will be totally confidential. (The only exception is if you tell her you are going to try suicide or homicide in which case she is obligated by law to tell someone who can help her help you.) Confidentiality is very reassuring.

The person you see has heard far worse stories. Again, believe me. Really.

People you know everyday hide away secrets. I can assure you of these points because I am a retired therapist and have consulted with many other therapists. I have also been the recipient of therapy.

It is really a good thing. Best wishes to you. Stick with therapy.

It is hard at first. You have lots to open up about with the therapist and undoubtedly you won't feel comfortable telling her everything at first. That is okay.

And do not worry another minute about your weight.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
