Since there is no real health care package yet (Everything is pretty much still in committee with lots of different ideas being tossed around) Almost all the negative ads on TV and the Radio have been misleading, since the things they talk about are only ideas that might be talked about. A great example of this is the "obama wants to kill old people" line. This was created due to discussion of compensating doctors to talk to patients about end of life issues. In places like Oregon, which has legal doctor assisted suicide, this could include some very frank discussions of end of life options.
When you watch the news, some news reports have been pretty good about the health care proposals being discussed. The bigger issue has been the political pundents who have blatantly spread misinformation, such as the "obama wants to kill old people" Other examples of misinformation being spread is the desire to change our system to "National healthcare" or "Single payer". Neither of these are options are being talked about, but ads and various news departments are spreading the information that obama will "nationalize" healthcare.
I am not saying that the pro reform side has not spread any misinformation, but so far IMHO I would say the anti-reform side has been less then truthful in regards to the healthcare debate.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
