Thousand Foot Krutch's singer sounds pretty much exactly the same in the studio as when live (as you can see in the video). They have some really good songs, though whether it will be to your taste is debateable, but autotune is not involved. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtkQi2iSv... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGvXWV-Ig... Dishwalla is another band who sound as good live as they do on album.
I personally think he sounds amazing in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ynhzRDy5... Amy Lee will always have one of the most beautiful and haunting voices live or on album, although I imagine on the albums they do use to electronic enhancements for effects occasionally, it's quite obvious they are not a necessity for her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLaKnhoSp-8 Delta Goodrem also has a good voice live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPz8s0bC1tM I think David Cook has a good vocal range, although he doesn't always enunciate words as well as he could. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyq2kDnSlP0 The Fray is another band that doesn't get a lot of recognition in the face of people like Justin Bieber, but they are most definitely talented. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih7aLCb0zx0&feature=related.
I was actually going to say Ed Sheeran and Adele were pretty decent. I very much agree with you, music lately only really targets simple-minded teenage girls. Just let it be and enjoy the decent music out there.
If you like Ed Sheeran you might like Glen Hansard and Damien Rice unless you already do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
