Why does the PS3 run games Faster and Smoother when it has an older Graphics Card than any new computer today?

The memory allows more data to be stored for the gpu to process. The gpu processors the data to be rendered. The bit size is the amount of data that can travel between the ram and the gpu, the higher the bit size the data can be send for processing.
