Why does the trip home always seem much faster than the trip going there?

You're more relaxed on the trip home On the outbound trip, you're either excited about where you're going or dreading it (if it's the in-laws for Easter, for example). Either way, you're in a more excited mode and you notice everything, including the slow passage of time. When you return home, you're relaxed, and time seems to go by faster..

My thoughts The anticipation of arriving to your new destination. What I mean is that you're going someplace new, you're excited, there's something out of the ordinary there. You have an ever increasing feeling of anticipation as the trip goes on.

If you don't believe me,think about this. Try looking at the clock every so often on a long trip,or the odometer on a trip that you know the mileage on. It's a terrible let down most of the time when the data that you colect disagrees with your perception of the progress.

While that point applies to both, who really wants to go home after(most) long trips? It's back to the same old grind. Sunday evening trips are the worst for this.

There's work tomorrow after your entire weekend off. I always find the opposite Going somewhere is exciting and new and shiney! Coming back is dull cos I know everything will be just like when I left. :( Going there is quicker cos the trip seems fun, and part of the adventure..

Excited! I definately believe it's because your just so anxious to get there that it takes forever. Flying somewhere new is just like Christmas Day, full of surprises and unknowns.

Driving somewhere new-well when you leave you already know the way know so it takes less time. Train rides-again like planes your excited to go to that place and are just waiting to get there. Coming home on the train--couldn't be more slow.

You're usually done and just want to get home and are sitting there wondering why you didn't fly, you'd be home by now. Smile. Have a great day.

I am looking for a good tour and travel agent for a trip to Italy, France and Spain.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
