Why doesn't Los Angeles have a subway system or cheaper public transit?

ONLY ONE of them has any culture. If the main point of YOUR life is to eat fast food that you got thru a drive in, and you have no realization about WHY places are like New York, Chicago, Vienna, Rome, London, etc. etc. etc. etc. are the centers of civilization - then you are also the Poster Child for the crap educational system in all of Florida. Jacksonville is cheaper because it OFFERS NOTHING that any intelligent, educated, aware person would want.

I actually own vacation property in FL (we live in NY state) and I visit for NO MORE than a week at a time - any longer, and by brain would turn to warm Jello - just like yours. We have gone to concerts, etc,in Florida - and WALKED OUT of most - nowhere near the quality we find in more intelligent places. If YOU are happy there - then you can keep it.

I don't think it's a given fact that if you eliminate those things that it would make it cheaper to live there.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
