Terrorists motivations are political. I have studied terrorism WAY back in my college days in the 1970's... WAY before anyone ever heard of Bin Laden. As for why libbies do not understand, that is because their motives are political, too.
I support the two party system… one on Friday night, and one on Saturday night.” -- HeeHaw Republican since before she was born… and PROUD of it.
By bin Laden own words he ordered the 911 attacks because he did not like the US involvement in the Middle East and the US military base presence in Saudi Arabia (his home nation). I understand the US need to establish a business relationship with the Saudis for the oil supply and the Saudis certainly enjoy the US money but you are being exceptionally naive to think terrorists attack us because 'they hate our freedom'. That was merely a dumbed down Karl Rovism to gain domestic support for the Bush invasion of Iraq.
Sad part is many fell for it.
For the conservatives that don't get it. Osam bin Laden said some of those things, but he said it because U.S. troops were being used to prop up the rulers in Saudi Arabia, and guard the most holy land in the Muslim world. He didn't like having non-Muslims guarding Islamic holy sites.
Braxton Bragg: How can you show such disrespect for people who willingly stand on the battlefield to protect your freedom. You blame our soldiers for the acts of a few and to say that it justifies terrorist attacks, is... I can't even put it into words how stupid you are. @Smarty pants: They attacked the twin towers not for a symbolic reason.
If they wanted to accomplish that they would of hit the statue of liberty. Those pieces of filth chose a location of high population density so they could kill as many people as possible. If that's no reason to go to war, then I don't know what is.
I agree with what the actual question is stating. They believe freedom of the masses is the root pf all social injustices and the only way to stop such behavior is to kill the source...us. That part of the world is completely backwards in culture and intellect.
We can't help them unless they help themselves first.
Nah. Obama will just call it ANOTHER case of work place violence-----again.
None of the signs point to a foreign terrorists attack, but a domestically driven one. ISIS doesn't reserve special hatred for the handicapped.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
