Although not completely unconnected, there are stark differences between Christianity and Judaism. You're right but that's not the half of it :) Jews don't use the term "Judeo-Christian" as a category because Christianity is it's own religion. As you have pointed out, the idea of "Messiah" in Christianity is not really based in Judaism.
None of the Christian texts are in Hebrew or Aramaic -- they are Greek documents. The concepts of heaven and hell, never mind human sacrifice for sins or atonement, human as god and savior are Roman and Greek more than Jewish. It's a term Christians mostly have used since the 1950s.
Most Jews don't like to be called "Abrahamic" in the same box as Muslim and Christian either because of the differences of opinions. The book below entitled "The Judeo-Christian Fiction" is well-researched and points out significant differences such as the one you have noticed as well as others.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
