Why don't people say the things they do to someone when their alive instead of when their dead?

You see, human beings are natural hyprocrites. When you are alive, they see you as threat and display all sorts of disaffection. But let death comes, you'll see them shedding crocodile tears.

But the dead watches on and shakes his head at his friend or relative backbiting him.

I think it human tendency not to praise others on their faces. It would be so nice if we could appreciate and tell the person concerned about our feelings. Life would be so much better for all of us.

Appreciation makes the best come out of any human. There is so much of love to be given and love begets love and praise begets praise. We reap what we sow.

I wish we not only appreciate somone's work, qualities or other things but tell them about it too. It would make life so enjoyable.

Rajan is right... It's difficult to tell someone how much you like what they've done especially if you're not close because it would seem like you're sucking up to them. It's even more difficult if the person in question is very rich and famous. Personally, I get alarmed if a stranger appreciates URL1 makes me think that they might want to trick me.. Or maybe, its just me.

The short answer is ‘double standards’.

A dead person is no longer alive to defend him/herself. Kims3003, why should you address someone who is dead when you know very well a dead person can not hear you?

I believe people say the good things they say about the dead person believing the people left living will enumerate the good deeds of the departed person.

Alternately, they may be saying those good things in a bid to appease the spirits of the dead person, and spirits being spirits, any talking likely to make the spirits of the dead person want to work on you is very fearful. Never try it!

Rajan is exactly right .....I also wonder on this but after reading Rajan reply I am fully agreed with him....

There is always competition, and now if someone is dead, they can express themselves more and the dead people cannot oppose it. Honestly, it's too hard telling people the truth, but lies would be easier :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
