The immediate effect will be to decrease diversity. 2 degrees C is not a small temperature change and remember that is the average change and it is not evenly distributed over the surface of the earth. Ocean current are temperature driven and the warm Pacific water is upsetting a lot of cold water fish and wild life.
Given a few hundred thousand years the diversity will begin to increase provided we can stabilize temperatures. Any creature living in a micro climate is probably under major distress at the moment.
