Once smoking was banned in pubs, the smoking rate fell dramatically. Combine that with the cost of cigarettes and you see fewer and fewer people smoking. I'm in my late 20s and only one of my friends smokes.
When my dad was my age, he said about half of his mates smoked. These days you rarely see people under 30 smoking, and the few you do see are seen as chavs. It's mainly older men, aged 50s and older, who you see standing outside pubs having a smoke. You almost never see women smoke anymore.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
