Why is amazon being cheap and no longer offering any money at all on the askville questions on mturk?

I haven't answered many questions on askville lately because I always answer through mturk for the money. Since askville bonus came along, there's no more incentive since you never get great answer votes, therefore you never get bonus money. Now I notice they've stopped paying the 2-3 cents per answer as well.

I for one won't be answering anymore questions on mturk or askville. I also notice the quest gold remains completely useless. Great work amazon, another customer and answerer lost.

Mturk There are some questions that are no longer paying the few pennies for answering, yes, you are right. They decided that there was too much scamming going on by people doing the Askville/nowNow questions. We saw them here, with the poor quality of Bonus Questions that were created at Mturk, and we see how some Mturkers rate all the competing answerings 3 stars or less.It sounds like a few (?) ruined it for everyone.

So I guess Mturk/Amazon got tired of it. Now,you can answer the questions, but there are no 2-3 cent payments anymore. Your only incentive will be the bonuses.

You are eligible for the bonuses, and CAN get them, but this means giving good answers. You have to answer well to get that BA, not just copy and paste. I'm not saying this directly to you, as I have no idea how you write answers.

But if you're not getting Best Answers, then you might want to add more effort to your writing, which will increase your chances at the bonuses. It is possible to get Best Answers..and nice bonuses! I got over $70 in bonuses this week, so I'm happy!

Hopefully this will mean that those who haven't played fairly will find other areas of Mturk to frequent...and leave the bonus money for me! LOL! Poppet Poppet!

Who knows I honestly have NO idea and Amazon Turk is how I came to know about Askville yet I find myself enjoying it more answering and asking on my own rather than because I can get a couple of cents. I notice the quality of questions sometimes on Askville bonus are awful and I wonder if it has to do with being answered by those on Amazon Turk. The good questions and answers we see come from those who really want to be here on Askville and not waste others time with the questions that don't even read right or are repetitive and written in 5 or 6 different ways.

I like Askville and it's obvious those who do it because they enjoy it and I appreciate those people greatly! You know who you are! I bet now more of the questions will be more enjoyable to answer.

I hate looking in a category and at least 5 questions have no importance to anyone. I also notice a few times I have answered Askville questions through Turk, that the answer had been answered before and already voted on. For example, just 2 days ago I was answering a question and when I googled it, it took me to the same EXACT question posted a few weeks ago on ASKVILLE and I was anwsering in the same post which had already had a best answer chosen.

I wouldn't say it could happen but it did happen to me and was a waste of my time. It was not the first time it happened when answering a question through Turk. Not all the time but why should that happen at all?

Now we get to see who is here because they want to be,huh...smile. As for the person who made $1500....no comment on that. I enjoy the Askville community and will remain here paid or not and I am sure others will do the same.

If the incentive comes back...I'll hop on and get my 2 cents but otherwise the friends I've met on here who are on it for good reasons, I find invaluable and they keep me coming back day after day! Sources: life according to Sarah .

1 Maybe that's a good sign! A sign they might be abandoning the Bonus Question concept. Awwwwwww!

2 To the first person who answered...the quality of my answers isn't in question I don't think, I believe I currently sit around 300 great answers, and I've made around $1300 in the last year on mturk only doing askville questions. The problem is that it isn't possible to get great answer votes on the askville bonus questions since there is no one rating them on the other end. They are all rated 3 stars which doesn't generate a great answer rating for anyone.

3 Yep, that's definitely a promising sign! As I like to say, "Die, Bonus Questions! Die!

At which time askville questions comes on mturk.(Please tell me Indian time because I leave in India).

I'm working with amazon mturk (askville),why not give bonus.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
