As far as I know, Classical is the basis of Real Music Composers of Classical Music build the basis of what 'music' is. Examples are Palestrina, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Vivaldi and many other Baroque composers who bring music to its absolute beauty. Later, young singers and players of instruments are able to bring many variations of what is named 'Classical Music'.
In Roman Catholic Churches, Classical Music is the basis of ALL music that is worth while to be exposed to people who visit Roman Catholic churches. A change in ASKVILLE! You are right. But when change comes it is not always for something better.
"So little popular" doesn't sound right to me. I think classical is easily the most boring and least entertaining music.
There is always a time and a place for classical music in my life. youtube.com/watch?v=-LXl4y6D-QI com/watch? V=-LXl4y6D-QI.
THANKS A LOT FOR THE BEAUTIFUL 'CLAIR DE lUNE' BY DEBUSSYOne of the things I would like most is regular questions about Classical Music. The pictures going with the notesof Debussy are brilliant! **************************************************The Moon with a bird is a picture I found and I love, I really do love very much... janosj 9 months ago jpg.

That’s a good question, Jan. How did we get to what passes for music today. I watched the Grammy awards, Sunday…OMG….
The worst music seems to come from females…that screeching, shrill noise actually hurt my ears. I wonder if it’s because classical music is so difficult for ordinary people to produce. Whereas, the music of today requires no study, no practice…no special tools.
THANKS FOR YOUR VERY BROAD ANSWERApart from Opera I like all kinds of classical music. Until my spine gave in too much, I played the piano every day...and loved it. If proper music doesn't play a rôle in 'The Art Of Music', I am afraid that music is going to limit it self to movie-music-makers like Dimitri Tiomkin, the noise-producer...**************************************************Classes of piano for my grandchild DANA who is a bit too small...but has a strong will to learn!

Classical music is wonderful when someone is in the mood to sit and listen. If somebody is requesting "What song is on your mind tonight? ", it would usually be a song that has a personal meaning to them that they would like others to share.
There is some bad music out there today, but so much variety, talent and beauty, too. Just my personal opinion, but I would so much prefer to attend a church that is not so formidable and one that really welcomes the congregation to joyfully sing along.
I grew up in the Catholic Church, by the way, and at that time the incense and music did not make us joyful.
THANKS FOR YOUR WELL-FORMULATED ANSWERS. I ALSO SANG IN A CHOIR EVERY SUNDAY IN A CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE LOW NETHERLANDSTHERE WE HAD A CHOIR-DIRECTOR WHO WAS VERY WELL ORGANIZED...BUT DRANK A BIT TOO MUCH. I learned a lot and at school where we played the flute and that went very well!
NOR DIJKSTRA was the name of the director. Hehad a fine feeling for every Mass we had to learn for next month...^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^This was the Third Class of what in the Netherlands in those days was called 'The Third Class' of the Lower School. Our teacher was also a teacher in French and had a lot of patience... janosj 9 months ago jpg.
I really admire you ability to play the piano.
That would depend on one's definition of "real" music.
THANKS DANIELPAULDAVISThe Latin saying: 'De gustibus no discutandum est' is hidden in the ten words you use to give back people's freedom of decision. In Brussels I fell asleep during the second act of 'El Barbiere de Sevilla'...as I was too tired. But the result: apart fom 'Don Giovanni', W.A.Mozart's masterwork I don't like Opera-music...**************************************************Granddaughter DANA with Grandpa Jan and the rainbow as a 'decorum' janosj 9 months ago jpg.
Its a pity that most of todays "youngsters" can't appreciate classical music. Music today has changed to either "blam-blam" noise or just background so-called music. It not actually listened to, it's just there.
And yes, I agree with Geppetto, the female singers do nothing but screech and make me cover my ears. Singers today are not even called singers, they are referred to as "pop artists".

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
