Why is it that not too many people give away tips? Is it really believeable that some people are making hundreds of dollars per week?

It's a fallacy to believe people are making hundreds of dollars a week. The numbers are overall earnings, not weekly earnings. Some it has taken months to get M$40, so they are here to earn the M$40, so that they can cash out tips when they reach that amount.

I mostly believe it's because not everyone has tips to give away, or has a question to ask the community that they believe deems a tip. Most people who answer questions and get them right aren't just going to give away their hard earned tips to everyone else in the community, just for the sake of giving away a tip. Not everyone is tipping for questions, and I believe it's because many people do not feel the need to tip every question.

They tip some, but not others. Some people just ask questions, some are better answerers, but aren't asking questions to tip. There are others who just like collecting tips, yet do not feel a need to tip everyone else for questions.

Well I think most people want to earn money here, not spend it. It's hard enough to make it up to $40 without giving away any tips. People are not making hundreds of dollars per week.

The one important factor is Mahalo tipped questions. Currently all questions have a minimum tip of $0.25. How many questions can you answer is a day?

When I was on my quest for a Brown belt I answered a minimum of 20 questions a day. If all of those were best answers I would make $5. How long does it take to answer 20 questions?

If you really want to make money you need to pounce on the high value questions and write really good answers for them. Of course high value questions are competitive. Right now Mahalo is trying to grow traffic to the answers section, as traffic grows the number of tipped questions will grow too.

You can help by answering questions. Answering questions imported from Twitter helps grow awareness of Mahalo Answers which grows traffic which grows the number of tipped questions. If you really want to make money there are almost 10,000 best plumber questions waiting to be answered.

I doubt anyone is making much money on this site, nowhere near hundreds per week. That is probably why people aren't giving away tips. Would be easier to give away the money if we were making more.

If you want to know how money is being made, use the search, and also go to the home pages of the high earners and see what they have been up to. I have been here about a week and I have earned $5.25 and gave away 5 one dollar tips, so my balance is now 25 cents. I like to give tips, I try and earn money so I can give it away.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
