My own position is against abortion except in limited circumstances - namely, to save the life or essential health of the mother, or in case of rape. (Incest, if it isn't consensual, would logically fall into the category of rape.) There is a way of arguing that abortion should be illegal except to save the mother's life - namely, that while rape is a horrific crime, there is still a life in the womb, and that it would be wrong to abort the child developing in utero. However, that has been totally obscured by the uproar generated by Rep.
Todd Akin's egregious remarks about "legitimate" rape and his apparent thesis that somehow, if an actual rape has occurred, the female body has ways of "shutting it down." Dennis Prager, a commentator who has been one of many influences on my worldview, brings what I regard as common sense to this matter in a piece today at the Jewish World Review website: http://jewishworldreview.com/0812/prager...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
