It may be my misreading of it, but the appearance is that Hub Pages is deemphasizing the writing and placing more importance on the social media aspect of the site. Perhaps its management has decided that is where the growth and revenue lie.
Prehaps because when hubs are first published they have low scores. If you are publishing a lot of hubs, it will pull your average hub score down for a while until the new hubs gett higher ratings.
You know what, I can't ever seem to keep mine in the 90s any more...maybe it's because I don't write as many comments on others' hubs. Try posting to the forums and answering some questions, usually that helps my score out but lately I just don't have the time to sit and try to appease the hubpage gods. :) Good luck!
I think it is that the lower hubs on the newer hubs are lowering your average. I am willing to take a temporary hit to my score, knowing that my new hubs are high quality and will increase in just a little while. Over time, as I have more and more hubs, the newer ones will not make as much of an impact, as there will be more older ones to keep the score more stable.
I too think and have seen it in my cases too that the more I am active on the forums or in the question & answer section, the healthier the score which keeps in the 90's which otherwise kepps near the mid80's mark. Strange but true.
I'm trying to make some money on this site - I'd rather have your score than mine - provided that I'm making more money than I do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
