Why is the Ka'aba so important to pilgrims?

It has become clear, due to the invention of GPS, that the Ka'aba in Mecca is uniquely located on the Earth. You Tube has a video that illustrates how the position of this structure is remarkable, in relation to all points East, West, North and South. Abraham and his first son Ishmael layed the foundations and built the walls (up to te height of about six feet) of the Ka'aba.

The Qur'an says that it was the first structure built for the worship of the One God. Abraham was commanded by God to build it - right there. Abraham, then, was the one who initiated the Pilgrimmage - and passed it on to his son, who passed it on to his people afterwards.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
