I understand what you're saying but the answer to your question is because it is Cincinnati. They haven't been good long enough to earn respect among the pollsters. It doesn't help that their "signature wins" are against teams that are also lacking a certain amount of respect.
The bottom line is that a team has to be consistently successful. Boise State and Utah have both been relevant for a while now and each school as a BCS win. That gives the school a certain amount of credibility that Cincinnati lacks.
Ball State is a mystery to me because they aren't very good compared to other schools but I guess winning all of your games is enough to garner some respect. Precious few schools can say they've won 'em all. I feel sorry for the Bearcats.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
