Why is there an entire month between the conference championships and the major bowls?

The people in charge of the FBS (more specifically the BCS, even it's not exclusive to them) want the student athletes to rest, and have the energy and willpower to play their hearts out in the BCS bowl games. Although, there truly shouldn't be an entire month separating the conference championship games and the BCS bowl games.

It is to let the students rest, and give them a break to focus on final exams. Most schools administer finals between dec. 5 and dec.15. Most of the athletes go pro in something other than sports, and finals are 50% of your grade sometimes.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
