Why was the us not ready for the war of 1812?

The US was still a new nation. Other than the Indian Wars, the War of 1812 was the US's first war. They did not have a strong Navy and they were tight on money.

The New Englanders didn't want to have the war because they didn't want to have more land belonging to the US. They thought that through the war we would gain land and through having all that extra land they would lose power.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
