Cairn Terrier Ch Dogwood Love Affair (breeder/owner Pam Davis) and Airedale Terrier Ch Stirling Cool Hand Luke (breeders Shirley Good & Susan Rodgers, owner Frank Pulice) were dismissed. Peter Green the group judge dismissed two dogs from the ring because their handlers used to work for him. It's a conflict of interest.
They were brought in as representation of the breed in the group, but cannot be judged because of the conflict. This happens a lot. More and more because long time breeders usually become judges for that breed and many others.
We call them all-rounders. A handler can opt to pull his dog from the Group competition because of this, or he can put the dog with another handler for the group judging. It can be because of a handler/judge relationship or dog/judge relationship.
That meaning the judge may have been the breeder of the dog's sire, dam, grandsire or granddam. The dog appears as the representative of his breed in the Group, but is promptly excused from judging. It's protocol.
There isn't anything wrong.
It's kind of a shame that some dogs had to be pulled.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
