The bride should have no say if she has an shower/s or not. They are given to her, she is the honor guest. It's a way of people close to her to help her out in her new life.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
